    In this class you will be introduced to value or tone to add the illusion of form to your drawing. You will learn about the value scale and how to work with your medium (charcoal, pencil) to add value to your work through blending.

    Collage para cuidadores combina la conversación y la creación artística. Encuentra tranquilidad e inspiración en las colecciones del Studio Museum de Harlem, el Museo del Barrio y el Museo Metropolitano de Arte. Crea obras de collage en papel, tela y técnicas mixtas.

    To register, please visit: http://bit.ly/3JVTDLV Take a musical tour of the Louis Armstrong House Museum with a world-class band led by trumpeter Alphonso Horne. "Pops is Tops" is an award-winning educational film that celebrates the life and legacy of one of the great icons of the 20th century, Louis Armstrong. This film will be presented by Jake Blasini, its director and a jazz educator. Jake will answer questions about the process and topics covered in an intimate talk-back session.

    Tenement Tour in NYC. Guided tour of the downtown Manhattan. We will meet at 4pm am at 103 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002. Registration is required to attend.

    Many scams target older adults and can lead to financial loss and frustration.  Learn more about potential scams to increase your awareness and learn what to do to avoid scams.

  • March 31, 2023 - 6:00pm to 7:00pm
    Rest your mind and body. Drain tension and anxiety away with a focus on connecting to your breath, you'll make your way through a slow-moving flow preparing your body and mind to unwind from the day's activities for a restful sleep. Candlelight reduces your exposure to artificial light, especially the blue light that comes from your cell phone and computers. Blue light can over stimulate the brain causing restlessness and the inability to fall asleep. This class can take place on a chair or a yoga mat.
