Plant Based Cooking Class with Plant Hero

Join us for a virtual cooking class. We will be making an easy vegan meal - Chickpea Salad Sandwich. Quick, easy, and delicious!  All are welcome to join in and cook or to just watch and take notes.  If you want to be a part of the cooking, the main ingredients will be sent to you prior to class. You need to  be able to access a laptop, computer, smart phone, or tablet to cook via Zoom in the kitchen. Once you receive the ingredients after you register and you need any assistance with ingredients, please let us know.  Register today.

 

Since you will be buying ingredients ahead, please see the list of what you'll need, and quantities, below:

 

1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed *save the bean water 

1-2 tbsp sweet pickle relish - start with a small amount and add more to taste, if you wish

4 spring onions or scallions, finely chopped

2-3 tbsp vegan mayonnaise thinned down with a tablespoon or two of unsweetened plant based milk

1-2 tsp Dijon or regular mustard according to taste

1½ tsp apple cider vinegar - optional, it all depends on the tartness of the mayo

Salt to taste

2-3 tbsp fresh chopped dill or parsley - dried is okay, just soak in cold water before using

⅛ tsp turmeric

Lots of fresh black pepper - from grinder is best

Good quality bread of your choice - gluten-free bread is okay
