Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

On January 18, SCS and Sunnyside Shines presented a community event that celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The evening included an amazing performance from the LaGuardia Gospel Choir, heartfelt remarks from Council Member Julie Won and Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, and a reading of some of Dr. King's inspirational words by Fabyan Roldan, SCS Director of High School Enrichment and Engagement.

The event was spearheaded by Dirk McCall de Palomá, Executive Director of Sunnyside Shines, and was held at SCS' main building in Sunnyside, Queens.
